In this paper at first,alkaline treatment on rice husk was done to remove waxes, lignin and hemicellulose.That means more hydroxyl groups were existed in compare of unmodified rice husk.Then γ-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane (APS) treatment applied on rice husk to make better interaction between Poly (lactic acid) (PLA) and rice husk.Functional groups of APS on rice husk were investigated by FTIR.
At the end, PLA microcomposites with different component of rice husk from 10-30 wt % were prepared and melted in Brabender internal mixer.mechanical properties were investigated by Tensile strength.
