Analysis of the viscoelastic properties of various materials in the application of large periodic deformations among the most important and most common methods for the characteristics of these substances.
Based on multimode Vinogradov Pokrovsky rheological model, were carried out numerical calculations, imposing periodic deformations with large amplitude on the flow of polymeric liquids. In the study of material behavior under large deformations, nonlinearity of the viscoelastic properties was obtained, which can be interpreted by the construction of Lissajous figures. When considering the model was able to confirm the increase in sample response nonlinearity with increasing oscillation amplitude.
A convenient method for the visual presentation of the results is the construction of Lissajous figures. For a linear viscoelastic behavior, these figures are ellipses, and transformed into various shapes to form the nonlinear response of the sample case.
The work was built Lissajous figures with varying frequency and amplitude of the oscillation based on multimode rheological model Vinogradova-Pokrovskiy and a comparative analysis of the results obtained with previously known experimental and theoretical data, which made it possible to conclude that the model allows us to accurately describe the behavior of polymeric materials upon application periodic large deformations.
