In this study, the influence of exposure to high temperature on the mechanical and microstructural properties of geopolymers (GP) and geopolymer foams (GPF) was investigated. A group of specimens (35x70 cylinder) have been prepared and after 28 days cured samples were exposed to high temperature (300°C and 600°C) and compressive strength tests have been performed before and after thermal treatment. X-ray fluorescence spectrometers (XRF), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscope- (SEM) were carried out for characterization of raw materials and samples. The structures of foamed and unfoamed geopolymer, as well as changes after exposure to the high temperature, were investigated in their relations to the Raman spectra
