UV-LED curing systems has become an important technology for inks, paints, and adhesives because of its benefits: low power consumption, long service life, good output stability and environmentally friendly by not using mercury. However, UV-LED light source has some disadvantages: monochromatic light and low-power, so it is not widely applied. In order to overcome those disadvantages, development of highly sensitive materials for UV-LED light source have been required. We had developed novel radical photoinitiator for UV-LED curing system. This initiator has good absorption for 365-405 nm light, and good photosensitivity for UV-LED.
