In this work different contents of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) were melt processed into an immiscible poly (L-lactic acid)/ ethylene-co-vinyl acetate (PLLA/EVA) blend. A constant PLLA/EVA 80/20 wt.% that exhibited a sea-island structure was used. Capability of EVA in dispersing MWCNTs was better than PLLA, because of the rheological results and thermodynamic parameters. According to rheology, storage modulus increased in 2 wt.% MWCNTs in PLLA/EVA/MWCNTs nanocomposites, while it enhanced in only 1 wt.% in neat PLLA. Also, SEM micrographs proved that MWCNTs located in EVA phase, as the results demonstrated that the presence of MWCNTs resulted in the formation of EVA particles with irregular shapes. Finally, MWCNTs effect on crystallization and act as nucleation agents in nanocomposites.
