During the last century, natural fibers and particulates are used as reinforcement in polymer composite that has been continuously growing in the composite industry. Orange peel particulates are interesting materials for industrial applications from the economic and ecological perspectives. In this investigation, composites polypropylene and uncarbonized and carbonized orange peel powder were prepared. The effects of orange peel powder ratio on the physical and wear properties of the polymer composites are presented. The physical properties, including the Vicat softening point, heat deflection temperature, melt flow index, moisture content and limit oxygen index of the composites were investigated. On the other hand, the wear properties of the composites were investigated. The structure of the composites was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and compared to physical and wear properties as a function of uncarbonized and carbonized orange peel powder content.
