3D printing is widely used in the fields of medicine and biology, and mainly includes the application in surgical assistant, personalized medical device printing and tissue engineering, medical education and basic scientific research. The 3D printing materials as the basis of 3D printing technology, it has many special requirements, such as the need for biodegrading completely, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. In this work, biodegradable polyester and polycarbonate (such as PCL and PLA) are selected as 3D printing materials. At the same time, a non-toxic, efficient, environmentally friendly 3D printing technology can be achieved through thiol−ene click chemistry. We have already prepared UV-induced polymers(such as PCL-PEG-PCL) in different molecular weight, after that, we can add some cross-linker to cross-link the polymer chains using a common UV lamp. Furthermore, we plan to design cross-linker that responds to light, pH or temperature according to different needs. This facile route for the synthesis of 3D printing material with tailored architecture and multiresponsive properties should have a strong impact.
