Alternating multilayered co-extrusion technology is a simultaneous extrusion of two heterogeneous polymer melts, which used to produce films with thousands and thousands layers, with special laminating-multiplying elements (LMEs). In this paper, the three-dimensional, isothermal, generalized Newtonian polymeric fluid flow (PP) in LMEs was simulated using the finite elements. In addition, the geometry of LME was also changed as a reference factor. Simulation results, especially velocity profiles, shear stress fields, slip profiles and extrusion deformations were discussed. The analysis shows adding a postpositional rectangle channel or increasing wall slip helps to improve extruded profiles. At last, the effects of fluid’s flow rate ratio and viscosity ratio on the interface of PP/PP are further examined.
