Hydrogels are synthetic systems that are highly biocompatibility with soft tissues and this material can be processed using gamma radiation. Crosslinked-network polymeric chains have been used for drug release systems and wound dressing due to swelling capacity in presence of water. The aim of the present study was to prepare a wound dressing of poly (N-vinil-2-pirrolidone) additivity with poly (ethylene glycol) and agar, containing anti-biotic neomycin and silver nano-particles (AgNPs). The samples containing nanosilver and neomycin were irradiated at dose of 10, 15, 20 and 25 kGy. The Influence of irradiation process dose were investigated. Gel fraction and maximum swelling tests evaluated the influence of radiation process dose. The neomycin drug release was measured by liquid chromatography – mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS).
