Nanocomposites are materials in which at least one phase is in nanometer dimensions (dimensions of the particle, platelet or fibre modification are in the range of 1–100 nm). Important class of nanocomposite materials are polymer layered silicates, in which layered filler (mostly modified natural clay minerals) is dispersed in polymer matrix. Many of parameters (i.e. type of polymer matrix, type and amount of nanofiller, and a number of process parameters as melting parameters, screw speed, number and shape of mixing screws etc.) affect properties of nanocomposites. The aim of the investigation was to determine the influence of nanoclay content on melt flow rate of PA12/clay nanocomposites
