The flow behavior of magnetorheological (MR) suspensions containing Pickering emulsion polymerized Fe2O3/Polystyrene(PS) composite particles was analyzed using the Seo-Seo model. The fitting of shear stress data obtained experimentally from the magnetorheological fluid revealed that the Seo-Seo model could well describe the structural reformation of the aligned fibers depended on the shear rate. The static yield stresses for both pure Fe2O3 particle and Fe2O3/PS particle suspensions exhibited the same quadratic dependence on the magnetic field strength, in agreement with the predictions of the polarization model. This was in contrast to the dynamic yield stress behavior obtained from the Cho-Choi-Jhon (CCJ) model.
