Electrospinning is the most applied process to produce sub-micron or nanofibers. Nanofibers due to high area to volume ratio has been attracted a great deal of attention. In electrospinning, a high voltage was applied (1-30 kv) to create an electrically driven jet of viscoelastic polymer solution. Electrostatic force overcomes the surface tension of created solution drop and it causes elongation of polymer jet. After the jet flowed in a nearly straight line in electric field, it bends into a complex lane and it shape changes. Modeling of process could help to analyze the process in order to get an optimum one. This paper focuses on modeling and simulating of electrospinning process. The simulation features the possibility of predicting essential parameters of the electrospinning process. Modeling results were compared with concepts of process and some experimental data.
