A controllable anisotropic scattering of polycarbonate (PC)/poly(styrene-co-acrylonitrile) (SAN) was studied experimentally, which was prepared by hot stretching process. Both the microstructure and macro-properties were investigated. The microstructure analysis showed that the dispersed particles deformed into ellipsoid during hot stretching and had a larger deformation than the matrix. The scattering patterns analysis results revealed the appearance of anisotropic light scattering for polymer blends with various deformations. With the increase of stretching deformation, the anisotropic scattering degree increased at a smaller rate, verifying the correction of geometrical optical scattering theoretical analysis.
