In this study, we polymerized the quaternary polymers containing ethylene, two kinds of the high á-olefin, and divinylbenzene. Input ratio of ethylene, high á-olefins, and divinylbenzed were 0.4, 0.4, and 0.2 mol/L, respectively. The chracteristic changes of the copolymerization were investigated as a function of polymerization time. We prepared quaternary copolymere with 300mL stainless steel autoclave reactor using rac-Et (Ind)2ZrCl2 metallocene catalyst, tetrakispentafluorophenyl borate complex, and tri-iso-butylaluminium cocatalyst system. The molecular weight of the copolymers were analyzed by GPC. The composition of the quaternary copolymers were characterized by 1H NMR. As polymerization time increased, polymer yield increased and the recovery rate of the copolymers after purification procedures decreased. When polymerization time was increased, the content of ethylene in the copolymers increased, whereas the high á-olefin content decreased. However, the content of divinylbenzene in the copolymers has no tendency with polymerization time.
