Abstract
In this paper we reported the insertion of pyrrole into graphite oxide. Polypyrrole/graphite oxide (PPy/GO) composites are successfully prepared via chemical oxidative polymerization with the feed ratios of pyrrole (Py) to graphite oxide was 2/1. The resulting products were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scaning electrone microscopy (SEM) and FT-IR spectroscopy. FTIR analysis demonstrated that PPy synthesized successfully in the presence of GO. Direct morphological observation using SEM and XRD analysis showed that PPy nanoparticle intercalated in to the GO structure. Electrical conductivity measurement using q-point prob analysis showed that electrical conductivity of PPy/GO nanocomposite is higher than that of pure PPy and GO.
