Development and Accuracy Verification of the Polymer PVT tester with high pressure and high cooling rate

The pressure(P)-volume(V)-temperature(T) of polymer material always follow the special nature. This is the basic properties of the Polymers. Research polymer PVT properties under real forming conditions is essential for molding products precision control. This paper innovatively the technology and device of directly pressurizing to test. The polymer PVT tester with high pressure and high cooling rate was developed which was based on piston-cylinder technique. Repeatedly testing the PVT Relationships of PP,PE,PS,ABS to verify the repeatability of the tester under particular pressure and cooling method. The test results were fitted with Tait equation and the fitting results were discussed.
