Ground tire rubber (GTR) was devulcanized in a system composed by a conventional microwave oven adapted with a motorized stirring system with speed control by 5,5 minutes. Devulcanized GTR was processed with HDPE in a twin screw extruder to produce a Thermoplastic Vulcanized (TPV), and some important parameters of the process like speed of the machine, number of feeders, residence time and shear rate were varied. The influence of these processing parameters was evaluated in terms of the mechanical, viscoelastic, thermal and rheological properties and morphology.
