Enhanced electrochemical capacitance and cyclic stability of one dimension graphene nanoribbon/polypyrrole nanocomposite

Graphene nanoribbon/polypyrrole nanocomposites were synthesized via in situ chemical oxidation polymerization. The structure of fabricated graphene nanoribbon/PPy nanocomposites characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy showed the one dimension nanostructure with the width about 100-150 nm. Graphene nanoribbon/PPy nanocomposite also shows the high specific capacitance and good cyclic stability. The maximum specific capacitance obtained by cyclic voltammetry test was 747 F/g at the scan rate of 5mV/s and the specific capacitance almost retained 88% after 1000 cycle test.
