This paper presents partial results of a project based on the development of agricultural products from vegeto-polymer composites. The raw materials are sourced from polymer waste, scrap and waste flexible packaging and / or agro-industrial by-products, such as sugar cane bagasse, which exist in abundance in the Grande Dourados / Brasil. This stage of the project was to evaluate the feasibility of using scrap PE and PP for making composites and feasibility of incorporating fiber. Were used shavings products rich in PE and PP, and the fiber used was sugarcane bagasse, and the fiber percentage was 10 % . The composites were prepared by extrusion of the polymer, using a twin screw extruder. After extruding the pure polymers and composites were injection molded using molds appropriate ASTM standards for conducting each assay. After being prepared, the composites were evaluated according to the melt flow rate, mechanic properties (strain and impact tests) and (Differential Scanning Calorimetry - DSC and Thermogravimetric Analysis - TG). It was found difficulty in incorporating the fiber, and by analysis of TG was observed that it was not possible to incorporate the percentage of bagasse fiber desired, and the actual percentage of embedded fiber was much lower.
