Blends of poly(vinylidene fluoride)(PVDF)/acrylic rubber(ACM) were prepared by melt mixing. The kinetics of the isothermal crystallization from the melt was analysed on the basis of the Avrami equation. Blending of PVDF with ACM resulted in a slight increase of the n value. It is assumed that increase in n value reflects the change in the crystal architecture from spherulitic crystals to dendritic crystal with blending. Spherulite growth rate in miscible blends were analysed by Lauritzen Hoffman equation. Blending with ACM increased free energy of folding for PVDF lamella. Calculated lamellar thickness for two conjugated phases in the partially miscible blends showed different values in agreement with the two peaks observed in SAXS profiles of partially miscible blends, suggesting dual lamellar crystal structure.
