This work describes the preparation of TRG-MoS2 nanohybrid material for high performance supercapacitor application. The material was synthesized using ultra-sonication assisted hydrothermal route and the prepared material was characterized by using various analytical instruments such as FTIR, XRD, FE-SEM, EDS, TEM, TGA-DTA, BET and XPS. Combination of data shows successful fabrication of TRG-MoS2 nano hybrid structured, which consist of MoS2 encapsulated by layers of TRG. The development of high performance functional nanohybrid materials for the storage of energy is now a crucial task for future energy demand. Inspired by the fascinating morphology of the TRG-MoS2 nanomaterial, the electrochemical performance towards supercapacitor has been demonstrated. The TRG-MoS2 nanomaterial shows enhanced gravimetric capacitance values (179 Fg−1) with higher specific energy/power outputs and better cyclic performances (82% even after 3000 cycles).
