Side Chain Crystalline Block Copolymer (SCCBC) is composed with a side chain crystalline monomer unit and a functional monomer unit. It can be adsorbed to a polyethylene (PE) crystalline surface through crystalline supramolecular interaction. By using this interaction, we can modify the PE surface to various properties. The modification method is very simple, just dipping PE films into the SCCBC dilute solution or coating the dilute solution to the PE surface.@ In this time, we polymerized a new side chain crystalline polymer (SCCP). And, we compared the PE surface modification ability of this SCCP and SCCBC.
