Process structuring of polymers is of great interest in enhancing polymer product properties or functionality. We are exploring novel manufacturing routes to develop either spatial distributions of properties in regions of a product, or more continuous property gradients, using both solid phase orientation, precision moulding and 3-d printing technologies or combinations of these. One of the major application areas is in medical devices aimed at tissue fixation or tissue repair.
