Recently, we had cleared that the main cause of the worse physical properties of recycled resin is physical degradation, not chemical degradation. Moreover, we had found that by choosing a suitable compression condition we can improve the physical properties almost to that of virgin resin. However, in order to further increase the consumption of recycled resin, it is necessary to extend applicable molding methods. Among them, injection molding is particularly important. In this study, we pelletized the waste container and packaging plastics at various condition. And we measured mechanical properties of injection molded test piece by using those pellet. By this investigation, we found that the mechanical properties much depend on the pelletized condition and we can improve them by choosing the pelletized condition. This results suggest that if we had made a suitable pellet by choosing the pelletizer condition, we can apply various molding method to recycled plastics.
