Compatibilized polypropylene(PP)/acrylonitrile butadiene rubber(NBR) blend were prepared using a new method of compatibilizing based on modified graphene oxide nano sheets(MGO). in the beginning, graphene oxide nano sheets synthesised and modified on nucleophilic situation with methylenedianiline and then maleated pp was grafted on it. afterwards, NBR was blended with MGO by solution method as masterbatch. Finally, the compatibilizer masterbatch with PP and NBR were melt mixed with internal mixer.
in each step accuracy of assertion were characterized using specific tests. For this purpose FTIR, EDXA, TGA and XRD tests were used in synthesis and modification steps of graphene oxide sheets.
Additionally, the mechanical , rheological as well as morphological properties of compatiblized and reference blends were investigated by using DMTA, FE-SEM and RMS tests and the corresponding results were illustrated.
