New conductive polymer materials

Three new methods to prepare conductive polymers will be introduced in this talk. 1. Special thermoplastic polymers are processed into polymer fibers firstly by using conventional melt spinning process, and then convert the nonconductive polymer fibers into intrinsically conductive polymer fibers. 2. Conductive/anti-static polymer fiber can be prepared by using low melting point alloy as conductive filler, which performs much better than normal filled conductive fibers because drawing could make their conductive networks denser instead of destroying them. 3. Ultrafine conductive particle with core-shell structure, acrylonitrile-butadiene elastomeric nanoparticle (NBR-ENP) coated with polypyrrole(NBR-ENP/PPy), was prepared by in-situ oxidative polymerization.
