Crystallization behavior of polymers was basic scientific issues with great attention of researchers. High performance and functional materials can be produced by adjusting the crystallization behavior of polymers. But, researches were focused on crystallization behavior of polymers crystallized randomly under normal circumstances. With the development of nanotechnology, unique crystallization behavior of polymers crystallized under confined space was observed and attracted attention of researchers. However, there were a number of urgent issues on confined crystallization to be solved. In this study, the relations of polymer processing-structure-properties were investigated by construct the micro- or nano-layered confined space through microlayered coextrusion. The interface effect and the synergistic effect of confined space along with external field on confined crystallization were studied. In order to reveal the relationship between the microscopic morphology of crystals and the macroscopic properties, theories on confined crystallization under layered space were established. With great theoretical and practical significance, this study provides a new method to produce materials with high performance and functional properties and accelerates the application of microlayered materials.
