PPS is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic resin that has lots of excellent mechanical strength, thermal stability, heat and insulation resistance and so on. However its application is limited by the low notched impact strength and brittleness. PES is an amorphous thermoplastic polymer resin and is widely used. In this paper, a series of GF reinforced PPS/PES blends were made by a three-screw extruder which has relatively high plasticizing capacity. The results showed that the properties of the blends had been enhanced especially the impact strength. Morphology was also measured to investigate the reasons for the improvement.
