The present work summarizes the state of the art of our search to understand and improve the interaction between white filler and polymer molecules. Rice husk ash was used for obtaining amorphous precipitate silica in a very low energetic process comparing with those processes found in bibliography, with a yield of 95 % in silica. The silica is obtained using sulfuric acid as a precipitant agent and temperatures below 50ºC and presents a structure with improved interaction between polymers and as a consequence a product with better mechanical properties was obtained. Tests were performed to characterize the structural changes using: EDX,SEM, XRD, FTIR, AFM, TGA, DSC and BET analysis. The mechanical and rheological properties of vulcanized blends were determinated according to ASTM standards. To evaluate the new filler influence on properties tests were also performed with silica obtained by commercial process with same ratio. The selected commercial product was Zeosil® 175 of Rhodia and SBR rubber was used as a polymer substratum. The results showed an increase in mechanical properties of more than 10%. The procedure gives also an added-value solution to an environmental problem of a small Country with a production of one million of ton of rice in an area of 173.000 m2
