Nowadays, silicones are an integral component of everyday life. Silicone elastomers have been established as an indispensable material in plastics processing in the medical, electronic and automotive sectors as well as in household and food domains. This is due to their chemical resistance, their excellent UV stability, superb resistance to heat aging and ability to be employed in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 200°C. Liquid silicone rubber (LSR) are expensive in comparison to thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) and rubber. So the aim of this work is to find fillers for Liquid Silicone Rubber to compensate the price with the same or better mechanical properties as the base material. It will be shown how the fillers change the injection moulding process and influence the mechanical properties compression set, tensile strength and hardness.
